The biggest problem with fitting a stainless steel winch (or any stainless steel fitting) to an aluminum boat is the destructive reaction between the two different metals in a salt water environment. Additionally, other complications can arise if the power source to the equipment is not sufficiently insulated - giving way to the effects of electrolysis.

This alloy fitment kit provides a preventative barrier to these issues, and is a must-have for every aluminium boat.

Each kit includes:

  • Two HD plastic winch sandwich plates
  • Anchor roller insulation
  • Insulation spacers for each bolt
  • An aluminium switch face plate
