Ultraflex MasterDrive Power-Assisted Steering System for Dual Station

The MasterDrive is a power-assisted steering system operated by an electrohydraulic pump.  It delivers fingertip control regardless of speed or torque conditions, ensuring full control of the boat both during manoeuvres and in bad sea conditions.  

It is comprised of three main components - a helm, a power unit and a user interface.  The user interface (which is located on the boat dashboard) allows the skipper to select 3 different power modes according to the boating conditions:

1. Fishing
2. Cruise
3. MasterDrive (TM) 

This kit can only be installed as an add-on to the Ultraflex SilverSteer hydraulic steering system, so if your boat does not already have SilverSteer installed, you will need to purchase that separately, and it will need to be installed at the same time as the MasterDrive.  Ultraflex recommends the SilverSteer + MasterDrive combination for boat engine/s with a combined max horsepower of more than 300hp. 

This MasterDrive kit is for a boat with two steering stations, which already has a MasterDrive Power-Assisted Steering System for Single Station installed.  It comes in two options:

• Dual Station, Single Cylinder
• Dual Station, Dual Cylinder

It operates in conjunction with the MasterDrive Power-Assisted Steering System for Single Station (in order to provide power steering to the 2nd steering station) and cannot function by itself.

MasterDrive MD2 packaged kit for dual stations contains:

• 1 x slave helm pump, with either:
  • 32cc displacement size (1.95 cubic inches) - in the single cylinder kit (UHD32-F)
  • 40cc displacement size (2.44 cubic inches) - in the dual cylinder kit (UHD40-F)
• 1 x user interface (UCMD)
• 1 x 7m (23 ft) electric cable for 2nd station communications (74162 W)
• 1 x 9.5mm (3/8 inch) straight fitting (70957 S)
• 2 x  9.5mm (3/8 inch) 'T' fittings (70831 T)
• 1 x 1L bottle of hydraulic oil
• Installation Manual

The following must be ordered separately in addition to the single cylinder kit:

• 1 x OB-MD: anti-dumping hydraulic hose kit with fittings.  Length must be equal to the distance between the master helm pump and the slave helm pump.
• 1 x OB-SVS: hydraulic hose kits with SilverSteer fittings

The following must be ordered separately in addition to the dual cylinder kit:

• 1 x OB-MD: anti-dumping hydraulic hose kit with fittings.  Length must be equal to the distance between the master helm pump and the slave helm pump.
• 1 x OB-SVS: hydraulic hose kits with SilverSteer fittings
• 1 x OB-2C-SVS: hydraulic hose kits with SilverSteer fittings to connect the 2 cylinders to each other
