Designed to automatically release an Ocean Signal Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) from its Float Free (Category 1) mounting bracket upon immersion in water, this device ensures swift activation of distress signals in emergency situations.

Here’s how it works: The HR1E is equipped with a hydrostatic mechanism that responds to water pressure. When submerged to a certain depth, typically around 1.5 to 4 meters, the hydrostatic pressure triggers the release mechanism, allowing the EPIRB to float free from its mounting bracket. Once released, the EPIRB begins transmitting its distress signal, which is picked up by nearby search and rescue authorities, enabling them to quickly locate and assist those in need.

The HR1E is engineered with precision and reliability and manufactured in the United Kingdom, ensuring that it functions effectively even in the most challenging maritime conditions.
